DJ Loefah

Loefah has just been added to a the Phat 11 new years festival line-up in New Zealand.
I was happy to hear this of course (especially because I have never seen him), but have since heard predominantly negative feedback about his sets. This has included both poor mixing and track selection you might not expect from a DMZ member.
Wondering if anyone could give some further feedback/info on his sets? Who has seen him by himself (ie not at a DMZ night etc) ? What can I expect?
Also, for anyone who might be interested, the Phat 11 line up so far consists of: Loefah, Black Sun Empire, dBridge, Camo & Crooked, Evol Intent, Excision, Datsik, Digital, Consequence, Upbeats, Concord Dawn, State of Mind, Trei, plus a whole load of locals. *edit + Andy C
Thanks in advance for any info!

Lol you've clearly never been to a Roots/Dub Reggae night have you?
He's sick, Plays mainly Addison Groove, Joe, Ramadanman, Guido and stuff now - but will throw in classics!

a bit of silence is just a chance to get your breath back n loosen up that chest tension from the overpowering bass that would have just been playing...
seriously tho, ive never seen loefah be anything less than amazing
track selection n all

one of the best sets ive seen this year was predominately loefahs part at one of the dmz nights earlier this year.
also seen him a couple times on his own/not at a dmz. ive never seen a set of his which i would describe as poor.
his mixing is usually good and even at the worst of times his tune selection is still pretty solid. now with all the forthcoming swamp material and much more i cant see him having a shortage of dubs to pull out.

last few mixes i've heard from him have been nice and on point: autonomic, boiler room, etc. . he was supposed to tour here in the US and swing by boston two weeks ago, but canceled at the last minute due to visa troubles. said he's rearrange soon, and am definitely looking forward to that

He was sick both times in Auckland. Solid mixing and tunes. Loving his new direction (Addison Groove/Swamp 81 etc) - will be worth catching at PHAT for sure.

The dub reggae thing doesn't fly when you're playing quantized predominately 4/4 with long sequenced intros that are around the same bpm.

Solid is the word, I wasn't blown away with his selection second time around but he did a great job of building hype for Coki.
Would love to see him at Phat but I won't be in the country then.

I saw him at the DMZ 5th b'day bash in his set vs the Mystikz and he smashed it if im honest. You should expect nothing less than tight mixing and good tune selection.
