What am I doing wrong? [Tune Included]

Hi there everyone, I've been getting into dubstep for the past year or so and have been working on some tunes in isolation (very little feedback from others), nothing amazing. Last night I got a few ideas and threw this song together, and I was pleased with it, but... Like all my songs or ideas, there's something wrong with it. No matter how much I mix or master, EQ or tweak, it always sounds... unprofessional compared to many artists I hear. I understand this is a given, especially with a newcomer, but I was wondering if there were ways I could make my tracks sound more vibrant, or less flat. In terms of velocity, dynamics, EQ, compression and panning, I've worked with everything to my liking, but the end result doesn't meet my standards. After reading the dubstep production bible and searching around, I'm still in a tough position, I don't understand if it's the samples I use, the effects I use, or just my style of production. I decided to finally get some feedback today and I was hoping the Dubstep Forum could help.
Here is a sample of the track from last night, if you could please give it a listen and give me some tips, it would be highly appreciated.
