Not looking for the usual retro analog kind of vocoders, rather the kind Excision uses on Subsonic.
Any vst out there that can do that or should I look on the hardware side ?

Example at 00:37 on this vid

I've been trying for a while. Find it's more about the initial synth.

This doesn't go over that exact sound but it might help you get close to it...

Probably but still the vocoder itself may make the difference. I made decent sounds with Tal Vocoder but I'm not sure that even with the appropriate patch and processing it can make such fat voices.
What are you using ?

Which voice are we talking about here, the first one? Because I got some close representations by whacking some ring modulation and pitch shifting on my voice... If you want I can show you the audio sample (but don't steal it, I'm going to use it in a tune )

So it's basically, Compressor, Pitch-Shifting, Ring Modulation, Amp Distortion and Noise Gate with A Delay and two different Reverb units as Send effects... Try and replicate that and have a tweak about or something, see what you come up with

Thanks! I don't think I'll use that Kerovee plug for this task but it'll definitely be usefull for other stuff.

Yeah I noticed that one but found the sound examples to be too much a la Daft Punk, not really what I'm looking for.
Plus for that price I'd rather look for an used Microkorg.
Probably worth downloading the demo tho.

Thanks for sharing but it looks like a lot of processing for something you could easily do with a free vst vocoder.

Ahh yeah my mates got one of those, really rates it. I couldnt remember what it was. Fun little synth too.

Well aside from Neodynium all the other plugins are free with Cubase dude but each to their own
