a capellas!

Post by masterBASSstation » Tue Aug 17, 2010 5:41 pm

Okay so you hear all these dubstep mixes of tunes. (e.g. Jakwob - Ellie Goulding Starry Eyed and SOOOO ON)
But what i wanna know is how people get the vocals or a capella's from these tunes to do mixes of them.
some people have already said to search google for a capella versions of songs and download them, but not every tune has an a capella version :/.
Was just wondering is there any programs that can be used to life the vocals out of a tune, or any specific websites dedicated to a capella versions of songs??

THANKssssss :e:

There are a few ways to pull out parts of tracks your after and drown out the rest, something i havnt tried myself though but read up on, However i still think its very hard to make it proper clean, Its a skill put it that way, alot of clever tweaks with EQ & filters.

Would like to learn more about this myself actually.

Thanks for the link i'll check that out
It's annoying because know how to use programs like audacity to drown out the vocals in a song and keep the instrumental, but it doesn't work the other way around :(

Yeah, the inverse phase cancellation method is the only one I've ever really used. Takes a lot of luck to find the exact instrumental though. Hahah.
