Well, we've gone and done it again. Another Bristol exclusive from arguably one of the finest artists in the glitch / wonky hip hop scene.

This September, Back to Bassics very proudly presents...

█ EPROM (Warp Records / Black Acre)
http://www.myspace/com/eprommusic

San Francisco based glitch master Eprom, will be bringing himself and his unique aural carvings to Bristol, amidst what is shaping up to be a pretty in depth tour of Europe.

Releasing records on both Warp Records and Black Acre has catapulted Eprom into the lime light in what is proving to be an ever-incresingly talented and competitive scene. Those familiar with his work will know that he brings a varied pallette of sounds to the table - excelling and demonstrating both knowledge and understanding of his craft. Couple this with the outstanding production value he possesses and you have a recipe for something utterly special.

For those that don't know his sound... don't worry, there's still time!

█ KAISER (Slit Jockey / Hivemind FM)
http://soundcloud.com/iamnotdjkaiser

Sounding (and looking) like the lovechild of Starkey and Eddie Van Halen, Kaiser's deft use of hypercolour synths have earnt him massive support across the future bass spectrum. With a forthcoming release on Slit Jockey and remixes for Starkey, and Kanji Kinetic, the Hivemind co-conspirator is destroying floors with lazergun stabs that'd make James T Kirk jealous.

█ RORY POWER (Audio Discharge / Hivemind FM)
http://soundcloud.com/rory-hivemind-fm

Powerful by name, powerful by nature, the Hivemind co-conspirator has been destroying and delighting dancefloors in equal measure over the past few years. Having been at the core of Bristol's music scene for what now seems like an eternity, there isn't a genre of bass that hasn't been touched in inappropriate places by this man's pervertedly rapid and intelligent mixing. Don't expect a DJ set, but to be transported to another dimension in a climactic orgy of tropical sub-harmonic scissoring and hyper-neon bliss, all whilst inside a wonky future garage space shuttle destined for Detroit.

█ DJ SHANDY (Crazylegs)
http://www.myspace.com/thedjshandy

Local DJ, Shandy will be making his Back to Bassics debut offering an eductional insight into some of the best garage / 2-step / funky artists you're likely to stumble across. A lot of you may have seen him tearing up dance floors throughout the city - but if you've not caught up with this knowledgable act yet, it's definitely your turn!

█ FERRYMAN (DJ N/A / Bassics / Hivemind FM)
http://www.soundcloud.com/ferryman

The Back to Bassics O.G. has been a familiar sight on flyers these days - such is the rising profile of this local DJ on the Bristol scene. Expect layed back dubs from the likes of DJG, Von D, L-ow, Scuba, and of course, Ferryman's own productions.

The fun takes place:

Sunday 19th September @ The Big Chill Bar, Bristol

Huge offering - and for FREE?!?

I might even try to make the 60 mile journey to attend - cos if free shows do really well for the promoter and the venue - the more likely great lineups at low costs can continue to be put on.
