HELP! Sub lines on Maelstrom

Right, so I'm having trouble putting this into words but hopefully I'll make sense and someone can help.
I've fucked about and sorted a nice subby/melodic bass line on the maelstrom which I'm trying to use on some new bits. But for some reason I haven't got my head round keeping the sound I have and being able to modulate it. So i'm kinda trying to do it manually. This isn't really the issue - well it kind of is an issue...I'm retarded.
The issue I have is that, and I'm sure this is a common problem which is easily resolved, every time I strike a note, the sound starts with an initial subby click/clip before the bassline prevails. I'm fairly sure this is pretty standard, but is there a way I can mellow this out so it isn't so overpowering?
Swift replies would be hugely appreciated, I'm kinda stuck on this tune that I wonna keep moving on.
Thankyou people.
