anyone want anything hardware bitcrushed/downsampled?

Post by deadly_habit » Sun Aug 22, 2010 2:25 am

got my mssiah cart hooked up properly and running again so figured i'd offer the service of some real vintage computing sampler goodness for those who want it. note it's going to end up in mono, also it has to be a short sample.
example:
original
mmm crunchy goodness

the cart actually comes loaded with a drum machine soft and the waveplayer has a bunch of drum hits as well, which i prolly could record
does anyone have any kits they want translated to lofi in particular?
i'll wait till i have enough samples in queue so i can do it all in one big session then up as a rar onto the sampleswap when finished.
so anyone who wants something done up get it to me and it will be added to the queue

just the obvious ones, of the top of my head 808's and 909's. if you got any casio drums that would be nice as well. some rhodes and double bass would be cool to.

thanks, man.

Sorry to bust your chops mate, but actually using an 8 bit sampler, or even an 8 bit digital synthesizer sounds completely different to a sound thats then bitcrushed to 8 bits.

Its about how the actual A/D converters used, and more like its circuitry. That is totally unique.

Had a 3 hour lecture on exactly this, and yeah i can prove it.
