Post by antics dub » Fri Aug 27, 2010 12:02 am

hey i was just wondering how to get that really lazery bass sound i hear nit grit make all the time. i would have put this in the "how to make this sound" thread but it seems kinda dead in there. i love this sound! any tips would be appreciated

edit to say: i'm using ableton 7 and i have massive, alchemy, and z3ta as my main synths. also use fm8 and albino a little so any tips using one or any of those specifically

Not sure exactly what sound that is.

Experiment with layering synths with send fx. Resample with the same sample on different parts of the EQ spectrum so it fills out with certain effects in certain areas (lows, mids)

Trial and Error, you might be making sounds better than that "nit grit lazer bass sound". Maybe something original. :w:

edit: I have no fucking idea

This. I basically hate anything with that "brutal electro" sound; it sounds all like HUGLAGHALGHALGHAL
