I ask cos I was just watching CM masterclass with Cnrl Z and he shows how he routes the velosity autommation in the piano roll to the LFO inside mssive, so he can do his wobble without having to set up another seperate automationn or use more than 1 massive channel and keep things tidy ,,,, He Is working with Logic, so Im not sure if I can do something similar in FL Studio? -FL is what Im using ATM, I ge myself amac I going to me Logic…… Anyway seeing as I can't use my PC right now, can someone here tell us or maybe attempt it? I would like to know, if someone can tell how it would make my day….

Read up on the Keyboard controller

Sort of similar, rather then velocity you use midi notes to control speed after you link to the keyboard controller. that way you ont have any automation lanes open in the playlist, and can keep everything neat, pattern specific, and easily changable.

To answer your question in your title (which isn't quite what you were asking ) - very tidy. The more organized you are the better and easier it is to manage your track as you progress. Pretty sure all DAWs let you do what you're after in one way or another.

I tidy up the tracks periodically, they always start off neat then get messy then once the idea is going I'll spend a bit of time renaming everything, grouping and creative folder tracks. While we do this we're normally drinking tequila as a the project gets tidier the desk & room gets more messy.

i tidy up as i go, as long as it's not hampering down creativity when it's fresh in my head

some are organised properly, but mostly everything is pretty much without correct names and the ordering is sort of vague

just like my music and my room, it's a messy kind of neat

Mine are always pretty tidy, unless I'm doing a remix, when they get messy as I chop and change and move this here and that there and delete that cos it sounds crap etc, keep it tidy as you go!

i'm a taskmaster with this shit. everything needs to be labeled- can't be guessing what's what. nothing kills creativty for me more than that.

Do you use the same color for the same things in different tracks?
Example: bass tracks are blue, strings are green, etc?

I am thinking of doing that, just curious how other do it.

I'm very bad at keeping things tidy. At first i label everything and stuff but at the end of the tracks it's just a big mess.

Yeah this is what i do... but like I have set colours. Like Bright green/yellow for FX. For bass it looks like this - Black for sub, deep maroon red lower mids, Purple for mid/hi mid, and Light green for Highs. (cause i split ma frequencies ya get me)

For any FL users, could you assign Mod X to the sync? if so how do you go about linking mod X or Y to something?

I have OCD so I tend to keep everything labeled and color coded just as neat as possible.
