I was there, and I can safely say it was crazy. Blew my mind when the first few tracks he dropped were dubstep. He didn't play a whole dubstep set though, only the first 10 minutes. Then he moved on his usual crazy ambient/jungle/electronica/gabba ways. It was so, so good.
Don't hate on Die Antwoord either, their solo set earlier before Aphex was slightly tedious but with Aphex they worked a treat, they're absolutely crazy.
Incredible gig, made up for the absolute joke of a price for alcohol (£4 for a can...)

This could just be a minor phase, I wouldn't be surprised if he made 280BPM skittery drums on top of a dubstep bassfest for his next album.

2 hours of Aphex Twin at ATP 2003 was one of the best DJ set I’ve ever seen.
He played techno, acid, house, electro, jungle, breakcore and gabber…but no dubstep.

This fucking sucks. Someone really has to enlighten him that this foray into bullshit brostep is unwelcome. I know everyone would like to hope that Aphex will do the right thing eventually, but this is not a good harbinger of what's to come.

Keep in mind that Aphex Twin's label has some of the earliest releases by Digital Mystikz, Loefah, Kode9, and MRK1.
