I'm looking forward to hearing this when it's finished! Although I think the shuffle might be a bit much.

yeah can hear certain similarities and funny enough there's a vocal in other parts of ours thats not disimilar to yours too!! and i agree with helix that the shuffle may be a fraction over the odds?

appreciate the direction of these. at times in the past i have forced myself not to use 909 sounds 2 keep challenging myself to look for new sounds but other times I just want something classic and dependable and dont fight it
here's how nerdwise i can go! i like the open hi-hat when its clipped a bit - some length but no decay like in here. and the best bit of this tune for me is having nodded thru the first 2:30mins then feeling the pick-up when the 909 open drops
oh and big ups anyone feelin our bit in this thread

To be 100% honest, it's because I like 909 rides, and I'm too lazy to find other ride samples that fit in my tracks as well as 909s do.
I mean it's taken AGES to quit using 909 kick drums...

gota 707 and a 808...
the 707 has the cymbals and hats of the 909, so so so so good
the claps and rimshots on that thing are fucking flawless too, like was said about the hats, it'll cut through a mix like BUTTER.
the shuffle is great on it too
oh and the 808 is the bass queen
i really want a 909 and a 606... ARGH GEAR LUST
i love drum machines

Omg when I found the 909 open hat, that was a glorious day!
bushwacka! is, for me, the undisputed master of this particular sound - he always knows exactly how/when to deploy it for maximum devastation. when it finally busts into the last section of his remix of kiril's 'primitive science' my eyes never fail to start rolling back in my head
