Does anyone know how to create a mono vst channel in Cubase? I'm looking at the manual now and can't find anything on it, anyone know what page it is on? :?

At the moment I'm having to create a mono group channel, then route the stereo vst channel into the mono group - is there another way?

I'm using Z3ta on the channel and running Cubase 5..

Just use the stereo tool on the inserts of a stereo channel and click the mono button.

Don't know if this works in Cubase but in logic if im feeling lazy i slap a channel Eq on the channel strip and after, insert the vst/au which stays mono because the effect(eq) is in mono (default channel is mono in logic), where normally it wouldn't let you insert the stereo instrument.

Anyone know if this would have a negative effect?

As i tend to group mor than one bass, i just send to a mono group, by far the easiest way imo.

Also, theres this nifty plugin which can mono-ise stuff, gradually, with a fader from full stereo to complete mono.

Useful for the masterbus to check overall mix mono compatibility. Theres a way of doing this in control room too but never use that myself.
