Have to admit I do like their stuff. This article is interesting and is definitely something to think about in term's of why some (not just linkin parks') material is so popular.

Re: all linkin park songs look the same
After looking again each image only goes up to the first chorus?
So we can only really judge these songs based on the dynamics of the first 3rd of the track. Even though they are similar chord progressions w/e between songs there is no way to judge what the music actually sounds like, only make a guess based on what we see (and eyes aren't always the best tool to use when it comes to music are they?)

yeah man hybrid theory basically dropped my balls. Shame that they've strayed so far from their original sound.lowpass wrote:Have to admit I do like their stuff. Yeah but they all sound the same, that was my post earlier. You are right I don't need to see the wave form.lowpass wrote:After looking again each image only goes up to the first chorus?

I could imagine most of Tatu's songs like that to...
All about us
Show me love
Friend or fore
Not all tho

Re: all linkin park songs look the same
it all boils down to 0, 3 and 5 (and occassionally 7). as in frets on a guitar. the ultimate rock power chords. to date myself, look at rage against the machine; i don't think they ever used a power chord that wasn't on one of those frets. only so many combinations.
