Takeover Sound

After the huge success of ‘Reggae in Session’ Takeover returns to bring you the freshest and finest artists and beats from the ground-breaking label that is ‘Night Audio’ with bass that always promises to be deeper than the Mersey.

Night Audio is the brain child of KingThing & Submerse, aimed at providing the freshest output of 'bass' music possible - a highly acclaimed roster including El-B, Sully, Clueless, Milyoo, Littlefoot & Resketch ensures that this promise is delivered on. Whether it's the intricate sounds of future garage or intelligent musings from the house world, Night Audio has something to cater for everyone's bass needs.

Resketch (Night Audio/WIDE Records/ L2S/Case Records):

Resketch is a rising star in modern garage and carrier of the 2-step lineage. Heralding from the north-west of the UK. Resketch's sound owes as much to the vibes of UK garage’s yesteryear as it does to the multicoloured synth-laden permutations of the bass music of today. His productions combine traditional garage rhythmic signifiers, pairing them with crystal clean, technicolour synths, frost-glazen pads and a welcome overdose of walloping sub-bass. His tracks have received support by Todd Edwards, Martyn, Kanji Kinetic, Rinse FM and BBC Radio 1Xtra, amongst others.

KingThing (Night Audio/Fortified Audio/Furioso):

KingThing has quickly established a unique sound that incorporates elements from garage, house, techno and breaks. His tunes are renowned for their energetic content, and are sure fire hits on the dance floor. With a string of releases under his belt and a 4 track 12" E.P on Fortified Audio about to drop, as well as a radio show starting on Hivemind FM very soon, the future is looking bright for this talented young producer.

Nate (Night Audio/Takeover):

Having worked hand-in-hand with Submerse for the past few years and heading the Night Audio label as well as playing regular shows on Sub FM, Takeover is proud to welcome this talented individual into the fold along with swinging high-hat selections and heavy bass riddims. A native son of the Mersey shores, Nate returns to Liverpool with experience of having played dances alongside artists such as Ramadanman, Synkro, Horsepower, Brackles and Mount Kimbie to name but a few to continue pushing future beats.

Organik (Takeover/Earth):

This fella continues to carry the mantle for future beats and sounds in and around the Northwest as a purveyor of heavy and skankin’ music. Previous experience hosting the Takeover and Earth dances as well as playing in support for artists such as Hatcha, Crazy D, Synkro, Indigo and Chimpo has produced a well rounded sound making him a one to watch.

Josh Dodd (Summer Sounds/Takeover):

Josh has a record bag filled with inspiration from breaks to dubstep through 4x4 to drum and bass and never fails to impress. Long-time pusher of music in Liverpool coupled with the success of the festival ‘Summer Sounds’ has brought this artist interest and attention which is duly deserved.

Takeover Sound (Reggae in Session/Takeover):

Fresh from sets at Shambala festival and Africa Oye, Take Over sound are once again flying the flag for reggae music in Liverpool. Success at the monthly Reggae in Session dances which has seen the showcasing of the best MCs and selectors from across the UK never fails to impress. With conscious and righteous selections they wade into the dance. Pull up TakeOver!
