Hello I have just discovered dubstep music!Can you give me any artists suggestions to listen to?I listen to dubstep in various clubs but i have no idea who the artists are!Can you give some essential artists to start listening to?Thanks a lot!

I have just gotten into dubstep recently myself. I started with Mt Eden, but have discovered I like filthy dubstep a lot more. So the question you have to ask yourself is what kind of dubstep do you like.

As far as I can tell, these are some of the different strains,

Clean dubstep which focuses on clean subbass and tight song production, as far as artists in this strain I have no idea, like I said I'm pretty new to the scene as well.
Filthy dubstep, which has more of texture to its wobble bass, and a bit less focus on having as tight a sound in the rest of the song. Artists in this section I have found that I like are, Doctor P, Cookie Monsta, Datsik, Broken Note.

Your best bet may be to do what I do, which is to go onto youtube and search something like "Top ten dubstep songs, or top ten bassdrops etc" Which will give you a list of songs/artists and from there you can start writing names down you like and going from there.

Like I said though I have only been listening to this genre for a week or so, so I know very little. Good luck

try downloading some mixes or listening to radio shows and use the tracklists and go from there, youtube will offer you lil to no real education on dubstep with it's flood of "remixes" and "filth" shit on it

Dubstep Allstars is also a good source.
This is dubstep is worth it too.

Listen to Rinse and Sub.fm and I 2nd the Dubstep Allstars, I guess you might like that newish Caspa mix CD whatever it's called

Borgore makes dubstep. It could be described as filthy because that how you feel once you've listened to it. Seriously tho' Borgore is one of many artists that make heavy 'jump up' dubstep.

Goto You tube and do a search on Trolley Snatcha...

There's also good dubstep but with a totally different kinda sound by artists such a Ramadanman, Appleblim, Burial <--- search on You tube.

Do another you tube search for Skull Disco Records <---
