1UP Recordings - videogames vs. dubstep

Do you like videogames and dubstep? So do we so we made a label to clash them!

After years in the game (literally) copping the yachts, the women and the priory membership, dance music megastar DJ **** was involved in a tragic accident.

During a week long Acid, Ketamine and Sega binge DJ ****’s condo was struck by lightning, the power surge of 50,000 watts bombarded DJ ****’s frontal lobe with data from the megadrive. DJ **** was erased making way for super producer 1UP. The subsequent music stylings have been collected from the Bedminster Down Psychiatric Unit during attempts to reconnect 1UP with the real world.

1UP is limited series of ZXAmigaAtariMegadriveNES excursions - collect them all and relive a wasted youth.

Kommando opens like the trailer for a never-made Arnie epic. With ominous strings and sinister low-end rumble both nostalgia and drama are offered in bags. Sonic anomalies and samples are plundered from classic gaming sound tracks, and when combined with sweeping midrange pulses create an incredible future retro classic.

Game Over is 1UP’s anthem, cranking the pixel rate down and bit crunching up. Game over is a heavy impact piece ofdance floor artillery - lazer scorch the skyline while sub-bass messages suggest impending doom. Who is 1UP???
