To celebrate Fortified's 4th birthday we have decided on one simple concept, bring back 4 of the very best dj's to have graced our club. Not only have Oneman, benUFO and Elijah & Skilliam been our highlights over the last 4 years, they seem to have been on your top-whatever lists also, each having rocked our humble gathering in there own inimatible style, thus contributing to the increasing structural unsoundess of the Art School's foundations. Since Elijah & Skilliam first stepped up to our stage things have been on the steady look-up for these boys, as their Butterz line goes from strength to strength. Likewise for benUFO and Oneman, who continue doing what they do best: releasing influential underground music and rocking dancefloors worldwide, Ben with his internationally respected Hessle Audio label, and Oneman with his newly set up 502 imprint.
The birthday bash's we have had in the past are always memorable events, from The Dubcamp forest rave , to introducing Glasgow to the wildness that is Magnetic Man live, to last years Joker, Silkie And El-B mashup, and this is the last one we will hold in the current Art School building before it gets demolished, so we invite you to celebrate with us in typical Fortified style, with some rafter-rattling bass music filtered through a colossal, bone-crushing sound system. This time in fancy dress.

Wait the art school union building is getting demolished? When?! And where is it moving too?!! In panic mode now about where im gonna get my bass fill!!!

It closes in June 2011. Dunno where they will move the union to during the reconstruction.

This may actually be the worst news i've heard all year. I tell no lies when i say the fortified nights at the art school (vic bar in particular) are the best bass nights i've been to. If i was closer i'd defo be making this, but i'll be making the trip up from brighton for the last art school fortified. PROMISE.
