bass-heavy uk funky/the darker side of uk funky

Okay, i'm sort of lost around this funky thing. i've heard lots of tracks i like in various mixes but never find out the name of it or who it's by. i'm feeling the stuff that is more bass orientated and incorporates a nice bassline or a nice sub, similar stuff to the track 'what' by sami sanchez in cooly g's fact mix as an example

if someone can give me some direction on particular releases or producers or who to look out for then it would be much appreciated

or any past similar threads threads. also, anyone know the first tune on MA1's set on rinse on the 11th september? cheers
