San Francisco Bay Area based duo Megalodon consists of dubstep and breakbeat dj/producers Sinjin & Phil T. Having founded Double Drop Recordings in early 2008, these two fresh faces carry plenty of bassweight in their case. Holding DJ residencies at prime SF dubstep nights such as Redline and Hellefante's Psychedelic Radio, they can otherwise be seen frequently tearing up Bay Area dancefloors. Often hard at work in the studio, they have tracks out now on Betamorph's Dubsteppers for Haiti volumes 1 & 2, Betamorph Recordings (FL), Hot N Heavy Recordings (SF) and Phantom Hertz Recordings (Portland). And with forthcoming releases on Brap Dem!, Shift, Double Drop, Section 8, and Dub Cartel, just to name a few, these two are surely ones to watch in future.

Vlad Gutierrez is no stranger to the US Northwest broken beats community. He has been spinning records since 98 and has had the opportunity to play on many international dancefloors. Relocated to Portland, OR in 2003 after being part of the "Essential Drum & Bass" crew in Barcelona,Spain. He then started "Madkraft" in 2004, a drum n' bass project alongside Invid and Mecca. In 2007 he began a transition towards Dubstep and since then this genre has become his passion. His first Dubstep release came out in 2007 on Aleutian Audio and stayed in Digital Tunes' top 10 for a couple weeks. Currently, he is busy producing beats for labels such as Hollow Point, Terminal Dusk, Requiem Audio, Simplify and Rogue Dubs.
