So I've been wondering about that sort of metallic midrange wobble you hear in tracks like Giant - Drumstick. Had a bit of a search, couldn't find any info on it. Can anybody tell me how it's done? FM synth maybe?

where was yours?

because its says giant not rusko, excision, next flavour of the month etc it gets off?



fm modulation distortion filtering resampling in many any and varied amounts in no specific order ie experiment


maybe possible with a bit crusher and loads of resampling on a basic lfo'd sound now i think about it, but if you can do that ^ this would probly take u alot less time cos you know what you're doing

This is some expert advice here!

Swashbuckle isn't being a dick, it's just that the veteran members hear(read?) that same question every other hour and it gets boring! There is already about 5000 tutorials on how to do get that sound.

Here's a bit of token advice though; Native Instruments Guitar Rig is the tits for bass processing, especially if you're after that raw, metallic, chainsaw type sound.

Also, check out Ham Vst and Sumo Vst.

lol, I don't post for a few weeks only to come back to more 1st time posters asking for chainsaw bass tutorials and being flamed into the next millennium.
