As part of Electric City 2010, we are proud to present Hospital Records - HOSPITALITY; a showcase event of one of the UK’s most seminal Drum n Bass labels. Taking over the entire HMV Institute for a 2,500 capacity event, this event features some of the hottest DnB and Dubstep acts on the planet for those who like the BASS!
HIGH CONTRAST heads up proceedings, undoubtedly on top of his game and arguably the biggest name in Drum n Bass. Acts such as White Stripes, Calvin Harris, Underworld to Missy Elliot call on him for remixes and he performs sell out shows all over the globe. Birmingham favourite and seminal DnB artist RONI SIZE joins another major player LONDON ELEKTRICITY who both bolster up the main room bill alongside DANNY BYRD who's latest release "Ill Behaviour" has just entered the chart's at a respectable 36! Liquid don NETSKY also features, undoubtedly one of the most talked about drum n bass producers with big things to come - mark our words! NEW ZEALAND SHAPESHIFTER will also be performing live, again one to watch!
For the Dubsteppers out there, room 2 features a dream line up with the like's of N TYPE & YOUNGSTA, a longstanding duo needing no introduction having been synonomous in the development of dubstep as we know it! 16 BIT also feature who are a name on everyones lips with some very exciting new acts such as SBTRKT, SILKIE & HYETAL. Huge!
Always keen to represent a wide range of Drum n Bass, The Temple will play host to a Critical Records showcase for those discerning listeners who like the Techier and more Liquid vibes! TOTAL SCIENCE headline with support from one of Ecletricity's favourite producers ROCKWELL and JUBEI not to mention KASRA bolstering up a superb bill for the heads out there!
The Congregation see's DOM SERVINI of Wah Wah 45's fame providing alternative sounds such as broken beat, deep house, dub, disco reggae and an all round party flex.
The two previous Hospitality shows that we have hosted in Birmingham have sold out and have completely gone off! Hospitality's debut at the Institute will be nothing short of epic!
