Click up top on the playlist where the loop arrow is. Random pic: http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/nov03/i ... dio3.l.jpg

The arrow above "verse 1". Move it down the playlist further so it doesn't loop so quickly anymore.

since im getting a bunch of smart ass replies like press stop ill try and describe it better .... in the playlist grid i paint one spot with an arpeggiof., then after that part a beat after that spot . the arpeggio still plays after its part is over and i dont want press stop because im trying to listen to the rest of the fucking song

this still does not make much sense. Do you mean that you have placed a pattern on the playlist, and that pattern continues to loop even though the timer has moved beyond that pattern? (maybe that doesn't make any sense either...)
if you are using a sample it could have the "loop" option selected in the sampler channel.
This makes things loop forever, god knows why the hell it is there and to make matters worse it's often on by default.

I'm sure there are good reasons for it but I never use it

in your pattern,

right click on the channel > send to piano roll

should fix it if thats what you mean

You could always automate the mute/volume when the arp patterns supposed to end. That should be in the event that all else fails though. :?

it would help if the OP could explain their problem a little clearly though wouldn't it?

i'm guessing this is an imported audio sample?

try opening the channel settings & auto cut where it says '- to -'

Simple enough, he said that he doesnt want it to keep looping... What i personally find odd because i find that helps me a lot not having to go back and re-start. Guess different people work in different ways?

From what I gather, he's saying that the rest of the song plays, it's just the arp that keeps going. So it could be too much feedback delay on the arp, or he has the same instance of the arp on each pattern. It could be an imported sample loop, but do people really sample arp patterns? Wish he'd write back and clarify, or at least say that one of the ideas worked.

OOh, i know this one.

In the Samples window the one with the piano at the bottom. Go to the tab that lets you mess with the pan, vol, filter. You have to click on your envelopes for your volume in order to adjust the length of your sound. Then send your stuff to piano roll. The Arp should not play longer than the green notes you lay down.

So Volume Envelope, turn on.

I'm sorry but I am so confused about what you want...

Do you want the sample to stop looping?

Do you want within the playlist - for it to stop looping a certain amount of bars (in which you've put blocks down) and just tail off endlessly?

If one of those is not what you're asking, you'll have to explain it again (and probably again)
