Can it be used on different channels, drums, sub-bass, fx?

Is it only for the master channel at the end of the mix process?

I think it's designed for mastering - so I'd have thought it would work best on the master channel. But, if you like the way the eq works, or the reverb etc, there is nothing stopping you from putting it on individual channels - word of advice though: with effects like oZone it's really easy to go over the top! so it's probably best to take a restrictive approach when applying.

EDIT: it's also pretty CPU hungry so putting one on lots of individul tracks is going to be very economic - unless of course you have a super computer!

yeah i have done a few tests with it on different channels and i love the presets in there, it has several drum ones for example, so in moderation im sure it is okay

Ozone does work nicely on group channels but they also make alloy which is a bit less CPU hungry and is designed as a channel strip. I own Ozone but didn't buy alloy - yet. I think they complement each other well but thought there may be better channel strips for the money

Yeah have heard and read alot of good things about alloy - espicially good for adding a bit of grit to individual tracks. I know computer music magazine seem to swear by it. Also would like to say not to rely on pre-sets too much - for any different track you're gonna need slightly different settings to get the most out of oZone - so just experiment with it so you learn how to use it properly!

ozone introduces latency... hence best used on the master out or placed on each "bus" submix...

alloy is zero latency, and therefore better suited for mixing.

i really like izotope but only use it on the master channel cos it is so cpu hungry. normally select a preset which i think suits the track well and then tweak the settings til i'm happy with it

just mtching, that alloy only 2band multi and ozon - 4band,but the cpu kinda same on both...

Theres no harm on putting it on a drum bus if you know what you're doing with it.
