New rule change - PM either myself or pete bubonic the user's profile ! Sending us a user name isn't good enough since we have to spend X amount of time finding their profile.

But on the spam, can you not delete the spam posts/threads (instead of locking them)? That would be better imho

Rule 5) Learn to count and spellcheck (first of all, lest you sound like the mindless drones you herald against with such vigor) and also, understand the logic of the bots


they will not stop. it's a fact that all forums have to face. lock/delete/hate them all you want, they operate on traffic, as long as this forum generates traffic, they will continue.

that being said, the best way to fight them is to laugh and realize that they are silly, and the traffic they try to generate is a sign of the times, while waiting for the mods to do what they're here to do (aside from the rare exception of true forum misconduct)

true, you shouldnt reply, but if you do... who cares? its a negligible increase in a problem that will be constantly persistent. no arguing that... (unless you're a special kind of ignorant).

if you cant overlook spam, and it truly bothers you... i pity you. i really do. riding a moral high horse on bots is as asinine as the causes the bots propagate.
