Coming up short,.. my pool of japanese cinema, mythology and Joycean-Lovecraftian word smithing is still second rate to the names generated here in the the land of the ninjas. and ill probably be bestowing some DSF related name upon the new pooch.. not to say its an honor or anything,.. just saying.
and about the ears, i know i know,.. we got him from a breeder who intended to show him. so they were cropped about two weeks before we even knew of his existence. unfortunate, but we did rescue him from a lifetime of dog shows!
any suggestions?

I've always believed that dogs names should have a T,S,C,F,G, or Z in them. Dogs hear in a higher freq than humans. Those constants have a higher pitched sound in them, making it easier to get the attention of a dog when you call them.

... my dog is a coco swirl generator as it is.
15 weeks = 30 pounds.. (that's 2.18 stone)
agreed on the deliberate consonants for a dogs name, needs a little punch and at least two syllables.

Call him Dave, Barry or George.
Having mundane human names for dogs is the way forward.
It's especially lulzy if you shout out his name down the park and everyone looks at you as if you're a nutter.

Supposedly it is best if the first syllabub is made up of a hard consonant. Like, "Krack Bitch," or "Krack Ho!" For whatever reason, I'm on a theme.
Honestly though, that is a Gerald, if ever there was a dog name Gerald.
