Yeah does seem odd, sick tune though.blackdown wrote:this isnt really yours to give a 320 away of, is it mate?
good point, yet a lot of bootlegs have been given out, that Metal Mouth 'Trousers Down RMX' was handed out like it was going out of fashion!blackdown wrote:this isnt really yours to give a 320 away of, is it mate?
yeh but i think the point is that this sounds pretty much the same as the original, but a bit worse. you've added a few samples, glitched and looped up a few sections, and lengthened it, and now you're giving away 320s of someone else's tune when it's only just been released.titched wrote:there are labels in the business of SELLING bootlegs. there are also labels in the business of selling records containing uncleared samples. i remember a panel discussion on the subject at CMJ in the late 80's featuring paul simon, madonna, chuck d, and some other industry folks. paul simon was attacking the use of the james brown's scream in "it takes two" (which has itself been resampled ad nauseum) and chuck d and madonna beat him down. madonna is a very smart cookie.
