im trying to load a sample in but everytime i do it is half the speed it should be.
ive got a wav of hi hats at 280 bpm that im trying to load into a 140bpm track see so i can have some quick hats but as soon as i open the wav it plays it slow. anybody know what going on?

Have you tried clicking reset on both the pitch and the time stretching? Both found in channel settings.

click on "sampler" with the hihats in it. Go to the "time stretching" section, right click the time knob and select "(none)".
Did you know if you right click on the "sampler" and select "piano roll" you can draw in your hats however the fuck you want instead of 16th increments? a lot more efficient.

yeah but its not changing. its only these two samples though so it must just be something wrong with them, everything else is importing fine. they are also opening looped, witht he little red line if you get me? so i must have done something to fuck them up. thanks for ur advice

i missed your post erratech, ill try that next time. someone told me on another forum that fruity loops must have been setting the wav to the track tempo to i converted it to mp3 and its working fine now
