roast dinners are always spot on but when your starving and you have 1 it tastes 10x better

Dun know, respect to the roast. Beef roast especially.
Only thing that compares is a fry up but thats in the breakfast category.

get a chicken. get a block of butter. get a big handful of basil. get a big red chilli. get two garlic cloves. get a unwaxed lemon. get your basil/chilli/garlic chopped up together real fine. get 50g of butter. get the rind of half the lemon. get together in a bowl and get it in the microwave till the butter is soft enough to get all the other shit mashed up in it. get your hand under your chicken skin and separate all around. get the herb butter all under the skin, down by the legs/wings etc. get the left over mix and spread it over the top of the skin. get the other half of the lemon and stick up the chicken somewhere. get a loada salt and pepper and season skin. get your chicken in the oven. baste every 30mins, then 20mins, then 10mins till done.
eat with whatever the fuck else you like with your chicken but i think its bangin with just a portion of rice. do something with the juices aswell, too good to waste. maybe just pour it over the rice? maybe make a gravy.
