mr K. has suprised a lot of the dub bredrin in nyc, cause his night is proper and doesn't need any of the underground (dubstep is still VERY underground stateside) When Mala played this chick at the beginning of his set asked, "what is this? It's too dark not sure if I like it..." towards the end of his set, I noticed her dancing and calmly walked over saying, "Oh, by the way, you're dancing to that dark, I don't know if I like it music...it's called dubstep." Dhruva and I are going to be doing a dubwise set (includes dub, dubstep, dancehall, breaks) Also, looking fwd to hear what Francios drops during his set, last time it was 'Lightening' 1

Hey Juakali,

we're excited to see you perform. In your message you said that Francois doesn't 'need' underground sounds....and I would say, yes he does! Dubstep is really inspiring him these days. He loves Deep Space because he loves discovering and turning our crowd onto new music. The joy of Deep Space is that Francois can play ANYTHING....and recently dubstep has been bringing a deep, soulful tone to the party that Francois feels enriches the overall vibe of the night. He feels that dubstep lets people know that we stick to our motto "No Dress Code- Just an Open Mind." And most importantly, he loves mixing those deeper-than-thou bass lines!

I too am loving the dubstep vibe in our party. It's exciting to see how people respond to this music they've never heard....and overall the response has been positive!

Peace.
