actually when i stumbled upon the post i had just finished listening to prodigy's music for the jilted generation, twice through as i always do. that album (to me) is such a perfect encapsulation of what dance music is to me, and captures a certain feeling of a halcyon time gone by and will forever be my #1 album. call me lame and old if you will but it is undeniably a classic. firestarter, i feel, is one of the prodigy's weakest outings, though still a classic in its own right. leave them well alone.

Have to say I completely agree with that too. They have made an awful lot of amazing stuff, personally experience is my favourite album...although I'd probably agree that jilted generation is better, experience was what I first heard and used to listen to as a wee kid so it's really stuck with me.

This track is well produced (as far as I can tell from lappy speakers), but as far as it being a remix -

it's a bit lame how particularly in brostep (:)) you can use another track as an intro, and then go to the usual brostepness after the drop. That isn't really a remix to me, it's something else. In this track, there is nothing in the main body of the track, apart from the occasional sample, that resembles Firestarter.

EDIT: :w:

You wanna know how to remix a Prodigy track? check out NumberNin6 and mindflow in relation to dubstep. Molotov Beatz/Genaside also did some sick remixes.

Well, I think it's huge! The second drop with the breakbeat is amazing. Flawless production.

Just checked out their live stuff, pretty great actually!

Agreed! Don't like the prodigy remix, but the tracks in the other vids are pretty decent indeed!
