VARIOUS 4 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!
Various was initiated on December 6, 2006 by Monkeytek, Ryan Organ, Jon A.D. and Dial M as a reason for four friends to get together to play the music they love.
In the four years since inception it has developed into a stronghold of bass heavy, dubwise Dubstep music and has outlasted many trends and sub-genres of bass music with it's core soundsystem values intact.
The night also acts as a testing ground and showcase for Lo Dubs Records.
Over the years, Various has featured sets by top ranking djs and producers from around the way and around the world always with the huge bass of H.A.S Systems exciting the air molecules and rattling the ribcages.
To celebrate 4 years Various here in Portland, we are assembling our favorite selectors to bring you a special night of bass music on the heavy, heavy monster sound that is H.A.S. Systems.

Ryan Organ & Monkeytek are the driving force behind Various every month and dj the night more times than not. Both work in different capacities for Lo Dubs Records and each bring their own unique sound to the dance.

JON AD runs Anthem Records, the label, shop and headquarters of the seminal US labels LoDubs, and Losonofono. With deep roots in Chicago house, Jon creates memorable sets fusing Skweee, Dubstep and in betweens.

Frequent collaborator and good friend, E3, comes through on high credentials gained by his many years of representing Dub music in Portland.
He is part of Systemwide, operated BSI Records and is currently resident at Atlas.
In 2000-2001 he operated a night called Bassism with other members of the BSI & Systemwide posse. This was the first 2 step night in Portland, Oregon. Nuff said.

BEN TACTIC & LINCOLNUP host the monthly Bubblin' dance party.
It's about garage music in it's many manifestations. Both men have represented their set at Various in the past and we are thrilled to have them through our Various 4 Year party!

SAMIZDAT & SALTFEEND kick off and round out the evening.
Samizdat has been bringing his bass-heavy philosophy to the bars, clubs and dancefloors of Portland-town since 2004. The form the bass takes can vary: hip-hop, proper dubstep, or techno, but it's always going to be heavy and it's always going to be infectious.
Saltfeend elevates the digital airwaves every Sunday on Dubterrain.net and hosts a monthly dj night at Low Brown Lounge in downtown Portland.
