Has anyone ever tried playing with binaural beats,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binaural_beats, to create wobble? i have no idea if this would work but it sounds cool.

Well, a lot of binaural stuff is actually supposed to be subtle enough that you don't notice it's binaural: if you're talking about the "beats" or wobbles created by layering dissonant notes, though, then yes it's been done, but it can be hard to pull off in a full mix (where the frequency free-for-all might easily cause
phase cancellation with other instruments' sounds.) I think most people who play keyboards stumble across this sound at some point or other and think it sounds cool, but... it's also challenging to incorporate that sound within a traditional melody too.
True binaural encoding eliminates this effect because of stereo isolation - the frequencies can't modulate each other to cause the wub.
I think you shouldn't just take my word - or anybody's word - for it though. Go ahead and play with it yourself, maybe you'll discover something cool. Check out Gnaural, an dedicated binaural app.
