Love Pressure is a fantastic record. I can't think of many EP's that I've ever enjoyed more. All four tracks are just great quality.

I was really suprised to find out who Sepalcure actually were. One records under the name Machine Drum (and many other names), the other goes by Praveen. They've been making IDM, glitchy hip hop and all sorts of other stuff for years. I would never have guessed that these two would have been responsible for Love Pressure. I just thought Sepalcure was a completely new artist.

Have a listen to "Half The Battle" and "Mean Mean" by Machine Drum. Two totally class, beautiful tunes. You'd never guess that's one half of Sepalcure though, would you?

Praveen's stuff is even more different, but still really nice. "Staring At Summer" is one of my faves by him. It's a haunting, ambient piece - no beats whatsoever. Sounds nothing like Love Pressure at all.

They've done tons of other good music on their own but these are the first to spring to mind. I guess Sepalcure is just a meeting of two extremely creative minds.

So cool to see some love for Travis (Machine Drum) and Praveen! Yes, they have both been making music for ages, and have been friends for a long time too. Praveen also runs http://www.percussionlab.com, which hosts DJ mixes for free (I help him out with the site) and Travis used to throw the Cassette NYC parties. It's been amazing to see them get some recognition over the least year. Look out for upcoming European dates, and a tune featured in the new Darren Aronofsky movie Black Swan.

i really think the love pressure ep was one of the best pieces of bass music to come out of the U.S. in a long long time.

looking forward to hearing the next one!
