What's up!
This is my first post here, so before anyone asks, I have used the search function!
I've been trying to recreate the synth Deadboy uses in Unofficial Girl (kind of similar to Nosaj Thing - 1685), but I can't get the sound down in Thor. It sounds like a mix b/w a saw and square and I know it has some pitch and frequency modulations + lots of portamento. After hours and hours of a/bing, this is as far as I've got:

I would say try playing around with pulse waves. I do not exactly know how to achieve that in reason, but in Massive there is a waveform called PWM and it can be used creatively to make a lot of the synths you hear in songs today.
This. I basically hate anything with that "brutal electro" sound; it sounds all like HUGLAGHALGHALGHAL
