(I hope this is the right forum to post this in)

Greetings people!

A die hard heavy metal fan (thats me) discovered your favorite music a couple days ago while playing Need for Speed. A song playing in the background was from the band Pendulum and after googling the name the term dubstep (never heard of that before) came up. I listened to a couple more of their songs like Slam, Granite and Fasten your Seatbelts and i'm starting to REALLY like this stuff. :e:

Please excuse my newbie question but i wonder if you guys can recommend me some good bands to get a bit more "inside" the scene.
What i've seen so far ist pretty damn cool:

Right now there are jsut soooo many bands and soooo many different styles / categories.. i don't even know where to start really.

Any help is greatly appreciated :)

maybe you should start to think about what your actual version of dubstep is before asking for advice, because i dont think this forum really appreciates it

There's a particular abatement on one particular style of dubstep, examples of which you have posted above.

I don't think that we should immediately dismiss someone who has been welcomed to dubstep by the likes of Skrillex and KOAN Sound. The lad has sought knowledge on a genre he's admitted that he's only new to and asked for suggestions on who he should listen to next.

This should be an opportunity to educate not berate.
