If it's 18+ then you'll always be asked for ID unless they're slack bouncers who let people in cause the place isn't doing well financially.
Or you could grow some tits.

I'm 21 (22 wednesday) not particuarly tall, but always IDed by clubs, don't think I've ever been out in London, Brighton, or anywhere else for a club night without having to go through the rigour of trying as hard as I can not to looked too fucked when the man in the black coat takes my licence.

this actually works, i was playing at a night across town and then went to another club to watch my mate play and i walked straight in with my vinyl bag and the bouncers just moved out of my way

thats legit, only thing left to try would be 'pretending you played earlier and asking barstaff for free drinks'

I've not actually done it, but whenever I play anywhere I bring my bag (obviously), and I'm never questioned. Doorman give you a nod and just let you in, ticket guy generally isn't the promoter so he wouldn't know either. Very very rarely do they actually ask my name. Worth a go for sure.

I think it really depends on how old you look, i still have to show my card, but much older associates of mine do not, it can change venue to venue as well....

bringing a record bag always works, well aslong as the venue doesn't have a huge cue outside or its the kind of venue where theres more than one cue.

i literally look about 14 years old, at 23, its not cool, i get id'd everywhere. but i do get away with child tickets on the train regular.
the only time i dont get id'd, is funnily enoough, when i have my tunes in my bag. as people have previously stated.
*it is also the way you hold yourself.

I'm 17, think I could still pretend to be a DJ? Or do you think they'd question me playing because of how young I look. Then again I'm 6 foot 2.
