Midi Keyboards?

I've decided I'm going to grab a midi keyboard since it will be much easier than placing in all the notes by mouse haha. What exactly is good for producing key wise? I guess I'm asking how many octaves on a keyboard is good to have? 37 keys is 3 octaves and 49 keys is 4 octaves if I'm understanding right.

Wouldn't that be to little though? Like what if you're wanting to play a bass line on a lower octave and then play some higher notes say like 3 octaves up at the same time?

it's all about prefernce and what you're using it for, you didn't say what you wanted so i recommended what i personally use, wont help in future.

Personally I'd recommend getting more than 25. I started with an oxygen8v2 and it was fine at first, but then I learned how to actually play keys a little bit and now 25 is very limiting. Even if you're not really a keyboard players I think more than 25 is a better investment long term.

I just use my huge Yamaha I used prior to producing for playing around with. Just snag a MIDI converter and walla 60+ Keys at my fingertips

would you recommend it?

I need min 49 keys, velocity-sensitive and drumpads. 215EUR/335USD
Or do u have any other suggestions? AKAIMPK49 is a little bit expensive (333EUR) and i'v read the drumpads or not very good.
