Dubnewb

Post by Flappy » Fri Dec 03, 2010 8:39 pm

New here and new to Dub, please don't laugh and be gentle to a 41 year old head-in-sand member. My name is Sean and I hail from a small village in Cambridgeshire. Been around music and the Skinhead scene for 30 years. I have never really looked further musically than Reggae/Skinhead Reggae/Rocksteady/Two Tone. Then one day, Dubstep hit me and I am hooked :m: Never knew there is another world of music,,,,,,,,,,and WOW,,,,,,,,,,,GIVE ME MORE!!!!! :)

If you're so into reggae you should realise the difference between "dub" and "dubstep"

welcome :t:

Thank you for the welcome. I've been around Lee Perry since I was 10(ish) and all the other original Ska & Reggae artists who were the Fathers of dub, just not around Dubstep :)

Thank you, the artists/DJ's that have opened my eyes and ears are The Widdler and Mt Eden at the moment, not sure how long they have been around. I guess I have a few years of catching up to do.
