Whutz a good free MP3 encoder for 320's and whutnot?

I use Adobe Audition but, there does'nt seem to be a setting to change the bitrate in there..

You can change the bitrate in audition....when you click save and choose the file format simply go to options.....

Once it is saved as an Mp3 I can go into options and change it??

those of you using itunes make sure you have the enhancement features turned off since they can fuck with your masters
personally i hate itunes since it doesnt use lame

no, set the bitrate as you save the file in mp3 form. go to...file>save as...>save as type...mp3>options>then choose CBR 320kbps.

Audition FTW!

so far the best thing i've found is this. i enjoy it very much.

it will make any file you need and its free unless you would like to donate. Audacity is another cool program, but maybe something you dont wanna bust into everytime you going to make an mp3 or other type of file. it's an open source project so it is also based on LAME encoding. on top of that its cross platform.
Once the audio is extracted, Max can generate audio in over 20 compressed and uncompressed formats including MP3, Ogg (Vorbis), FLAC, AAC, Apple Lossless, Monkey's Audio, WavPack, Speex, AIFF, and WAVE.
if you wanna stay with itunes you can get a LAME plugin here
