odd issue in Reason. Can anyone assist?
Not sure how this is happening all of a sudden....but for some reason, I'll bounce a drum loop out of Reason (to drop on a timeline in Reaper to mix)...and the first beat (a kick, in this case) is not accounted for. Pretty frustrating. Any help or advice is muchos appreesh.

Try checking your loop markers are properly aligned
And let it play on loop a few times in your media player after export, see if its ok like that, then you know its a problem with Reaper, not the export

I know this is really basic, but just in case you've missed it - the kick definitely has a midi note at the beginning of the loop right???
Is there another drum computer / sampler playing kicks?

I've isolated it to Reason. I quantized everything to make sure it was aligned properly. I zoomed wayyy in to make sure the first kick wasn't triggering before the first count, and that's not it either. I just completely drops the first beat off of the loop....it picks up exactly after the first beat. Really weird, and it's starting to piss me off....

Well in that case, i have no idea why that could be happening

So after process of elimination, I discovered....it was the kick sample. Very strange.

Was it picking the kick up later in the loop? Strange!

Actually funtcase covered this in his CM interview. its a well known bug. Just set the left locator like half a bar away from the start and you should be fine. Then snip off the extra when you import it into reaper

^ thats new for me, I always start my song on the 1st beat of bar 1, never had issues with exporting. Lucky me i guess
