since i'm assuming you don't know much about production, you first need to get an acapella version of the song and chop up the samples in that, export them, then load them into an nnxt or some other reason sampler. audacity is free and good for that. :t:

That's like the best thing to do...

Instead of ending up with 16 pages of "LOLSH, ALPACA, TROLLOLOL!"

What does that solve? ;l

I went through a phase of trying to be as polite and helpful as possible in every one of these threads that cropped up but after a while it wore me down and now I'm just a bitter miserly bastard XD

And I like it this way :p

Im not typically one to say something like this, but in all honesty, I think this is the ONE time when your program does matter...

Reason isnt to well equipped to handle working with audio, and you need good solid audio clip features to chop and fit an accapella.

Recommend FL Studio, Cubase, Logic, Acid, Nuendo... idk... something with more audio functions...

Reasons synths/sequencer/sampler are bomb, but when you get into working with full recording channels... yikes.

Ableton Live is NOTORIOUS for its ease of audio manipulation. Live. Get Live. Ableton Live. Live. Do Live. Go LIve. Able-ton-LIVE!

Ableton is great for beat syncing. Actually making your own DIY Acapella can be tricky business. Your best bet is to find an acapella already separated from teh webz

For quite some time now, Reason can be bought in one package together with Record. The seamless integration with record makes it a full featured daw thats capable of the same as any other daw.

But when working in Reason alone, your point stands :)

i actually think i first saw it in another thread on here, and then i saw it when i was cruising memebase.com, because my life is that fun, and i thought, "there will be no better time to prove my total coolness on this forum than to make an awesome alpaca reference in a totally applicable situation..."

also, i still can't figure out what the hell XD stands for. xylophone disorder? xtreme diahrrea? xtra dyslexia? i'm stumped.

doesn't notorious signify a negative connotation?... :6: *VOCAB izan ATTAAAAACK* yeah but you're totally right, i just started rewiring reason into ableton and it's a joke how simple things are now. not that it made me good at remixing though.... :i:

Edit: it spelled N A Z I backwards?! woah!

Yes, yes, you're right. I should have said it's FAMOUS for its wonderful audio mangling capabilities. Seems a funny thing to get hung up on tho, what with all HORRIBLE grammar that pervades around here.
