Diggy Tots - Walkie Talkies

Post by DiggyTots » Wed Dec 15, 2010 4:13 am

Haayyy DSF. Whats good.

I just made a new track, I'm not sure how I feel about it, but what I do feel is in need of feedback. Tell me what works, what doesn't and if the track is a keeper. :6:

Thanks again y'all.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, if you're the kind who skips to the drop and listens for 30 seconds >, there are 2 drops. So yeah. Skip away.

Few things, sub bass is taking over the whole track, EQ mate.
Also your YOYYEEE is very very distorted. What did you use to make it? ( I just redux Operator softly.)

Other than that I like it. :D:

Balls, my headphones are lyin bastards! For the YOYYEEE, I just used a basic Sin wav with a scream overtop, bitcrusher, distortion, bass boost, compressor, shit like that. I'll tone down on the distortion and EQ the sub some mo. Thanks mate!

What DAW are you on?

For me it's Abe Operator, 2 square waves and 2 sin waves, stick some saturator and redux with bitcrusher.
Mess around with that enough and you got yourself a yoy!!

I'm running Massive on Fruity Loops 9. I found a Bitcrusher VST on the internet and it's a very basic effective way to make any LFO sound a yoy. Instant noodles.

EG: OSC1: PWM -24 pitch
OSC2: Screamer

FILTER: Scream with LFO on Cutoff

You should give this one a try: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia ... ONIC.shtml

I love the sound I get from that one.
