How to get your music heard (?)

Hey crew.

I make music for one reason. Cause it feels good to express!
And I want to make that expression heard - share it around.

What are the methods that you use to get your tracks heard by people?

Lately all I've done is just post on forums. My dnb tunes and dubstep tune has had some good radio and club play globally which is a dream come true. Just wondering if there are any other ways to connect my music with people.

yo that's a great idea! When I think of all the little baggies I go through...

It's like the prize in the serial box. I'd buy another vial just to see what other tracks are out there.

KHOLE!

Yeah I find I get bigged up occassionally by people that I"m unaware of having heard my tunes, so that's cool. Also when I post tracks, the response is more instantaneous than it was 6 months ago. probably due to the higher quality of the material, but also due to name recognition I'm sure.

Anyone know where to get an ounce of yayo and some custom printed baggies?

quality control.
quality control.
quality control.

this isn't directed at anyone in particular so don't get your panties in a twist just yet. i'm just making a general comment.

just because you've been battering out a tune all day long, doesn't mean it's good, and doesn't mean it's ready for the internet to hear it as well.

picasso would paint some of his paintings nearly 20-25 times, sometimes spending weeks on one canvas, and then tearing it up in pieces to start again. i'm a firm believer in living with your work for as long as possible, and making sure it speaks to YOU first, from many directions and on many levels, before you see if it speaks to other people as well.

At the same time, other perspectives can help chistle a piece to perfection.
Saw recently a dood posted a tune and it was okay. He took the feedback and wrote something good out of it, and re-posted it.obviously its all subjective.

Know what I mean? Picasso repainted paintings. But thats because he got another perspective on the work. He looked at it and realized something was off. Someone else could have told him the first time around.

With the internet we can collaborate perspectives to create unified pieces, that would please the ears of even my wife (who hates brokenbeat)
