Well are you trying to call him out for sampling old records? If so then I don't understand the purpose as Hip Hop is entirely built around sampling.

This beat is one of my favourites

here in germany a rapper was actually sued by a french gothic band whose piano tracks he "sampled" (there's a difference between sampling and just taking a WHOLE track and adding a beat). his old beats are killer though, check this one:

(i wonder how german rap sounds if you can't understand the lyrics, probably better... don't like his rapping )

timbaland seems legit tho, of course at least mentioning the sampled artists would be nice or paying some royalties but in the end... his beats are dope as fuck. and what's the difference between cutting a loop from a funk vinyl or an indian cd?
