DTR005: JTRP EP - Preview and Promo Mix

[deep teknologi]

Debut EP from German duo Jorge Takei and Robophil aka JTRP who showcase their take on the UK's underground scene by fusing House, UK Funky and Garage together to make for an interesting listen.

Lead track 'You Want It' takes influence from the likes of Lil' Silva and with it's Soca-esque piano stabs and double-time percussion whereas 'Dungeons' is an upfront number with a nasty winding synth that's reminiscent of the Godzilla theme song.

Rounding off the EP is 'Moon' with it's low-slung bass melody and 808 claps which makes for a moody, techy affair that bridges the gap between contemporary European house and the UK bass music scene.
