For some reason when I export my tunes out of cubase if the first hit is on the very beginning it cuts out. I know I can fix it by just moving it over one bar but that sucks when im sequencing my tune. Any one know how to fix this?

does it make any difference whether the first beat is audio or midi

I always start my tunes on the 17 bar mark cos it always seems to cut out first note.

i got a cubase question aswell. when u for example want to change the pitch of an audio file and it asks u if u want to do it to just that one or every one of the same file. how do u get that box back that asks u that? because i accidently clicked don't ask me again once.

Im rewireing reason into cubase. I think it only happens with midi. Im not burning cd just exporting wavs or mp3s.

so hit enter twice before exporting and then try it

i have the same problem when rewiring flstudio and sometimes with kontakt
only solution i've found is starting tunes a couple bars in with silence in first few bars

Tis standard isn't it? Always have a bit of silence before the tune kicks in.

What does entering twice do? I tried it and the first hit was still missing. When do you actually hit it?

oh it might be a different problem entirely

hitting enter once would make the song go to the beginning of your loop point and again would make it go to the beginning of the song

on my old setup when it was a problem so i got into the habit of hitting enter twice before exporting

everybody i know who uses cubase, has experienced this problem. They all start their sequencing in the 2nd or 3rd bar.

simple answer is start writing your tunes leaving a four bar gap at the start, for those who think this causes problems cueing i suggest that having a look at your waveform in cooledit/wavelab, it is severely worthwhile as you can normalise and do extra edits plus you can trim your wave to start when you want. On top of all this you can do some simple mastering once you've finished your track to make it sound BIG.

sequence with silence, then export to wav, then open audio editor and cut the unnecessary silence at the beginning..

Thanks guys. Ive been just exporting it with silence at the beginning and cutting it out. I was just wondering if there was a easier way around it. guess not. Those fuckers at steinberg need to fix up
