2 tunes @ 256kbps - Feedback appreciated!

Post by al_the_man1 » Wed Mar 28, 2007 1:53 pm

*edited*
Here are a couple of songs I managed to make in the past 2 days, and I would like to know people's opinions on them. I see that people like 320's but I could only go as high as 256.....

First is LeChuck Dub and it's based on a tune that played in the game Monkey Island, if you recognise it. Humourous dubstep.

Second, is a tune is *just* finished. It's not a cover, like the other tune, and it's semi minimal-dubstep. It's called "Sputnik Dub"

And also, everything's on the ol' myspace, if you can't be bothered downloading.

Thanks in advance for even listening to them!

Alex

it's dope - cheeky yes, but it could be a tune if ya do some real skankin over the cheeze synths & throw some colour up in there. dopeness tho. It could be cheeky AND big!

Yeah man I quite like it. Is this the one you got David to play at Ruffage when we were setting up? Its like a calypso SNES Dub.

Nah mate, that's Mango Dub, which I'm currently re-working to make it sound less Dutch Flowers. I'll stick it up later when I finish with it.

Welcome to the future.

PULL DAT!!!

With a title like 'Dread Dub', I would suggest further improvement by cramming the track with as many cliched dubreggae vox as humanly possible.

You blatantly need to come up with a badboy producer name too. Not sure Alex Mack's gonna cut it .

I'm pretty bad at names. The best I can think of is Al-imony. Which is pretty gash. Do you want one of my cast offs? Awesom-o, Zangief, Breadbin (but I think there's someone on the foum with that)? Or start with a random animal and tack something on the end. We've got DJs Badga Tek, Elliephant, Catalyst and Pingu in my house.

I could only think of Al Qaeda (it means "the base" in Arabic you see) and Áphid (Á pronounced like the a in hat). Your opinions?

whilst theses aren't right up my street style-wise, the production is really tight and they sound crisp! Nice stuff
