Hey guys, I am going to sound like an idiot saying this, but here goes.

You know on the start of songs, when they build it up, there is that kind of whoosing sound. Like if you breath in and pull in heavier into your lungs until you can't anymore - I'm looking to make that sort of sound. Sorry for the frank explanation but I can't think of anything more creative than 'whoosing'

I use FL Studio 9, and have Massive and some other third party VST's. If anyone could give me an idea how to make that sort of sound then I will love you long time, because it's so basic, but I just can't think of how to make it..

White Noise Sweep

• Open a copy of 3xOsc, set to one Osc only, white noise generator waveform
• Draw a long (8/16 bar) line, doesn't matter what note
• Route into mixer, and add a Filter
• Create automation on the filter cutoff for the length of the note
• Add reverb/chorus to taste
• Bounce out as audio and save it somewhere so that you never have to go through the process again for this particular sound

Just one more thing. In my mix, a wobble is overpowering the mix, as in, you can hear the volume changing because it is forcing the rest of the song down. I have tried using a limiter but it doesn't seem to do anything.. What can I do?

Try turning the wobble channel down on the mixer.

Is it like the volume is ducking in places? Sounds like your track is just struggling to breath, its prbably down to a few elements rather than just the wobble.

Start off by soloing the kick drum (get this peaking anywhere between -10 to -7 as a guideline) and gradually bring in all the other elements on by one.
You will notice if something is overpowering the rest of the mix easily with this method. And if there is an certain element that is overpowering then simply turn it down a touch until it sits nicely with everything else.
