Devon Clarke (Bobo Saw) was born in Kingston 12 in Trench Town, Jamaica. Over a long career he has shared the stage with Sizzla Kalonji, as well as the legendary Burning Spear, Bounty Killer, Frankie Paul, Pam Hall, Mikey Merican and Jigsy King. Today he is still a prolific producer and talented performer. Clarke’s success is a product of two decades of unyielding devotion to his music. His career first launched in 1986 when he formed Declaration Music, which released its first recording “Color Kodak” in the same year. Other producers quickly took notice of his talent, and by 1994 he had released tracks with various artists & labels, including World A Spin, Lambada, Days of School, Mek Some Money and Killing Feeling.
Hellfire Machina is a dupstep duo including Jody Shires aka ‘Mechabot1′ (One half of Sunz Of Mecha and Uncouth Youth/ Label boss at Mechamusic/ Owner of Breaksfm) and Tom Williams aka ‘Chosen Substance’ (Founding member of Junglist Movement and Raw Groove UK). Prior to the birth of this project in late 2008. Jody Shires and Tom Williams collectively had over 60 releases under their belts, along with production work for grammy nominated artists, numerous UK top ten remixes, 5 Breakspoll Awards, Best International Dj in the Spanish EDM awards 3 years running and a history in bass culture that is second to none. The year is now 2010, sonic exploration in the realm of bass fueled riddims is the primary mission for Hellfire Machina. Since migrating from London, Tom and Jody have firmly made their presence felt in New York’s bass music community. Constantly touring and promoting parties, this deadly team of subsonic soldiers don’t show any signs of slowing down, slaying shows from LA to Brooklyn with wave after wave of block rocking panty dropping next level riddims. With production and project management credits on last years Enter The Dubstep WU TANG album, they are currently crafting an album for Brand Nubian, which is due for release at the end of this year. With an ever constant stream of digital and vinyl releases Hellfire’s trademark but diverse sound has embedded itself deep into the landscape and their own artist album is due for release spring 2011, which is being developed in their now famously named studio ‘Planet Twisted’.
