Best/Favourite Plugins to make a Reese bass

So I just wanted to see what everyones favourite plugins are to generally make a really big, noisia style reese bass :)

I'll usually make one through massive, resample it through kontakt, then add stuff like camelphat, kombinat, psp nitro, guitarrig, etc.

But yeah just wanted to know how everyone goes about making them these days :) (makes a change from the wobble, for once.)

Sylenth1. Warmest reese I've heard from a soft synth.

Usually don't need to resample, it's already pretty phat.

-combi
- thor
- detuned squares using the multi oscillator
- modulating notch/comb filters for movement
- tube distortion
- mid-cut eq
- tape distortion
- phaser

usual stuff I do for a reece
Made a really nice reese using the didgeridoo waveforms on the malstrom with similar processing

Gives a more hollow-sounding reese.

I have wondered listening to certain Spor tracks, are some of his disgusting basses more square wave than saw.

Experiment :)

Triangle waveforms also work nice for a reese.

dont have to just use these "pure" waveforms either. like I said further up Iv got a reese patch using the didgeridoo waveforms on Reason Malstrom synth.

I've been playing with mass TURBOtar lately. It's a free VST available for download @ http://morfiki.blogspot.com/2009/10/mas ... -dc09.html

It can be a bit strange to use at first but, once you get the hang of it the possibilities are fantastic.

3xOsc. 3 waveforms, play around for a good combo. Slight bit of detuning to give it some raaaaawr factor. Then chorus/dist etc etc.

If still not what I'm after, load up the 'Bass Resampling' template I've got set up and drop three instances of it in there. Bounce out a 4 bar loop. Rinse & repeat if required.
